«Rock for Namwala»

In 2006 Beat Hüppin, a passionate musician and Latin teacher at the Abbey School in Einsiedeln, took the initiative and organized a benefits concert for Namwala Secondary School.  The concert would take place in the local brickyard.  It included various bands, two of which were student bands from the Abbey School, and Beat Hüppin also played a little guitar.

The concert was a huge success and appealed to the audience and musicians equally.  Due to the enormous success, the concert «Rock for Namwala» was be organized annually with the help of various Abbey students.   In 2013 they held their 7th concert.
