A lot of young people in Zambia cannot attend Middle School, even though they have passed the entrance exam, due to a lack of financial means. Those impacted receive support from organizations like Care International, HODI and FAWE. Some also receive support from local and state authorities. The need for financial help in Zambia is enormous due to the fact that more than a million people are orphans.

Namwala High School has its own scholarship program. With the help of a questionnaire the students complete, a decision is made regarding the allocation of scholarship funds. Those students that qualify for the scholarship program can request monies for things like trimester and travel costs, school uniforms, school materials, as well as daily necessities such as soap and toothpaste. The management of the scholarship funds is the teachers’ responsibility.

The Friends’ Association supports a small number of students in Namwala every year. With a sponsorship of 450 Francs per year you give a student the opportunity to receive a great education. Are you interested? We look forward to your inquiry!
