Travels to Zambia
Since 2004 Johannes van der Weijden travels to Namwala on a regular basis. He has organized group trips four times with students from the Abbey School in Einsiedeln. The trips were funded by the students themselves. They also studied the country as well as the project extensively prior to travelling there. The main purpose of the trips was to allow the students of the two schools to benefit from a cultural exchange rather than work on projects for which there was often a lack of time and experience.
