Metal- and Woodwork teacher Harrison Martiguluka (picture top left, on the right) is now in charge of the repair of the furniture. Last week he sent new pictures. The repairs include the welding of the legs and the replacement of the seats and the backs. The picture on the bottom left shows the 80 repaired chairs that are now in use in the classrooms.
Every year Robert Liebenthal, a friend of mine from Lusaka, visits whenever possible the Shimunenga Ceremony in Maala, 50 km from Namwala. This year the ceremony took place on 17-18 October. On the ceremony grounds he found two pictures attached to a tree and asked me if I had seen them before. The two pictures were from the photo report of 2013 on our website.
