Because of the increase in boarders from 1000 to 1500 pupils the sanitary facilities urgently need to be extended. The renovation of the old facilities is also necessary. In the coming year we hope to clean and renovate the sewage plant (so far this has never been done) and sewage tunnels. Furthermore, we want to renovate the existing ablution blocks and build two new blocks for the girls’ section and two for the boys’ section. At the latest in March 2016, when I visit the school, I hope to present exact figures. For the time being we are using the following estimation, based on the experience of the last few years:
- Cleaning and renovation of the sewage tunnels (CHF 5’000)
- Cleaning and renovation of the sewage plant (CHF 25’000)
- Renovation of the existing ablution blocks (CHF 15’000)
- Building of two ablution blocks for the girls’ section (CHF 25’000)
- Building of two ablution blocks for the boys’ section (CHF 25’000)
