Oxcarts

Together with a group of students, trade teacher Christopher Mukuwa made rakes, garbage cans and various other items for the school.  This gave the students the opportunity to learn welding and other metal handiwork.  In 2010 he suggested making 10 new Oxcarts and selling them to local farmers.  He was able to sell them at a lower price than the ones offered in Choma, the provincial capital located 180 km away.  This made it profitable for both the school and the farmers.  To get the project started 6,000 francs were provided.  The profits from selling the oxcarts were again reinvested in other projects.
