Einsiedeln. On the 25th of May, during the sports day of the Stiftsschule Einsiedeln, a charity run was organised to raise money for the Namwala Secondary School in Zambia, the partner school of the Stiftsschule. It was a delightful occasion with a total of 12’000 CHF raised for the school. The charity run was organised by Elise van der Kammen, Laura Fürst, Laura Harms and Seraina Muntwyler, four students of the Stiftsschule who were supported by their sports teacher Silvia Brunner. The students visited the school in Zambia two years ago and wanted to do something good for it, even though they were in the midst of their end of year exams. They were able to motivate many students of the Stiftsschule to go find sponsors for the charity run in order to raise the money. The charity run was smoothly integrated into the sports day. The money raised will be used to renovate the sanitation of the boys’ section of the Namwala Secondary School boarding school. The group travelling to Namwala this year in July will be reporting about this at the beginning of the new school year.
